                <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par1"><hi rend="large bold">That</hi> the Proposers may be admitted to supply the Mint <lb xml:id="l2"/>with Blanks for Coynage made of Fine Brittish Copper <lb xml:id="l3"/>Cast and Rolled only at fifteen pence <choice><abbr>ꝑ</abbr><expan>per</expan></choice> pound Weight</p>
                <p xml:id="par2">Or the Workmanship at Three pence half penny <choice><abbr>ꝑ</abbr><expan>per</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l4"/>Pound his Mahestie finding Copper. <lb xml:id="l5"/><space unit="chars" dim="horizontal" extent="15"/><hi rend="bold">OR</hi></p>
                <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par3"><hi rend="large bold">That</hi> the Proposers may supply the Mint <choice><abbr>w.<hi rend="superscript">th</hi></abbr><expan>with</expan></choice> Fine Brittish <lb xml:id="l6"/>Copper Plates Hammer'd at their Mills and Cut in the Tower in <lb xml:id="l7"/><add place="marginLeft" indicator="no">Note <hi rend="small">there was a Vote of the House of Commons that they should be made of Our own English Fine Copper as near the intrinsick Value as possible</hi></add>Presence of Officers appointed at Fifteen pence <choice><abbr>ꝑ</abbr><expan>per</expan></choice> pound W<hi rend="superscript">t</hi> <lb xml:id="l8"/>takeing in Return such Sissellage as is made at Twelve pence <lb xml:id="l9"/>per pound Or otherwise to deliver in the plates with the usual <lb xml:id="l10"/>Remedy at Nineteen pence <choice><abbr>ꝑ</abbr><expan>per</expan></choice> pound and take the same W<hi rend="superscript">t</hi> <lb xml:id="l11"/>in Return of Coyned Half pence and Farthings with the Sisselage <lb xml:id="l12"/>made from the plates. Paying for the Coynage and Risqueing <lb xml:id="l13"/>the Charge of Distribution themselves.</p>
                <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par4"><hi rend="bold large">As</hi> the Proposers in the Petition annexed are so much <lb xml:id="l14"/>Interested in the Copper Trade they are ready to prove that <lb xml:id="l15"/>Hammering is the only Standard yet found to demonstrate the <lb xml:id="l16"/>Purity of the Copper, they are of Opinion that is fittest for Coynage <lb xml:id="l17"/>and haveing already expended so much money to find out the <lb xml:id="l18"/>Method of makeing Brittish Copper what it now is the<add place="inline" indicator="no">y</add> humbly <lb xml:id="l19"/>hope they shall be prefer'd as an Encouragement to Art having <lb xml:id="l20"/>such stock in the Trade already, will not do any thing prejudi<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l21"/>cial to themselves or the Publick in makeing too many Half<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l22"/>Pence or Farthings or Coyning them when there is a Scarcity <lb xml:id="l23"/>of Copper thereby Endamageing the Manufacture of Copper and <lb xml:id="l24"/>incurring the Hazard of the Plantations not being supplyed <lb xml:id="l25"/>and causeing the Necessity of Importing it from Abroad and <lb xml:id="l26"/>thereby obligeing such Numbers of Workmen as are now <lb xml:id="l27"/>Employed to stand still for want of it.</p>
