A Pistole>Lewidor new out of the Mint conteins 1031124 gr sta & may be recconed in value to a Guinea new out of yethe Mint as 4 to 5 without any sensible error. A hungary Ducat conteins 2dwt 6gr = 54gr, 112 car better, = 571522 gr sta. is worth in England 9s 7d411 A Ducat of Holland Germany & Hungary conteins 2dwt 512gr = 5312gr, is 112car better, 5312 + 312 + 1388 = 571388, is worth in England 9s 6d1344. In Holland it goes for five guilders & 4 about 5 styvers, that is for 110 pence English or 9s 2. wchwhich At wchwhich rate a wchwhich is 4d1344 lower then in England. At wchwhich rate a Guinea ought to go for 9d 1223 less then it does that is for 20s 813d. A Guinea is valued in Holland at 12 Guilders that is 4 x 6212 pence or 20.s 10d A Lewidor goes in Holland for about 9 Guilders 9 Styvers or 3 Dutch Ducatons or 16s 6d . It conteins 104-1324gr sta wchwhich at 2d pr gr is worth in England 17s 21112d that is 8d1112 more then in Holland at wchwhich rate a Guinea goes in England for 11748d more then it is worth in Holland. A Ducat goes in the Empire & Northern Kingdoms for 2 Rix dollers & 3 4 5 or six deniers or styvers that is if the Rixdoller be of full value or worth 4s 6d, for 9s & about 3, 4, 5 or six pence. And if the yethe Doller want a penny or 2d pf yethe just value as they usually do the Ducat will want 2d 3d or 4d of that value whereas in England it is worth 9s 6d1344. A Doppia Moeda weighs is recconed in Portugal for 10 Crusados that is for tenn times 34920 pence or 34412 pence that is 28s 812d English weights 6dwt 21gr is worse 12 gr & conteins 6dwt 2018gr sta wchwhich at 2d pr grain is 27s 4d14 A Spanish Pistole is recconed in Spain for 4 Piastres that is 18s. It is wort weights 4dwt 8gr & conteins 4dwt 712gr sta wchwhich at 2d pr gr con is 17s 3d. wchwhich But in Spain & Portugal they make their payments in Gold & part not with their Silver without a higher price of 4 5 or 6 pr cent or above. The Ducat or Ducaton of Florence is 8dwt better & weighs 1oz 0dwt 3gr & therefore conteins 1oz. 1dwt. 0.gr. 0m & is worth 5s 516d English. It goes in Florence & Leghorn for just 7 lires & therefore a Lire of Florence is 9d1342. A Spanish Pistole goes usually in Florence at 534 lires or 54s 5d12, but the Merchants in trafic value it at 6 lires or 54567d 4s.767d. And the Lewidor & Spanish Pistole go there at 20 lires or 15.s 6421d but the Merchants value them at 21 lires or 16.s 3d12. wchwhich is. So that gold is lower in Tuscany then in France Holland & Germany. The Croisat or Crusado of Genoa is 7dwt better & weighs 1oz 4dwt 12gr & therefore conteins 1oz. 5dwt. 6gr. 11.m & is worth 6s. 613d. This isgoes for 712 lires & therefore a lire of Genoa is worth 10d49. The Piastre or Ecu of Genoa is 5 lires or 23 of the Crusado 4s 4d29. And the Pistole goes at Genoa for 10s 1712lires 10s or 213 Crusados that is for 15s 279d. But the P Pistole & Piastre of Genoa I have not yet assayed At Bulloign in the Popes territories the Piastre of Spain goes for 414 Lires [& the ecuEcu or rather yethe Croisat] of Genoa for 615] whence a Lire of Bulloign is [1s. o1217d] 1223 pence. And there a Pistole of Spain goes for 1512 lires or 16.s4d13 & a Hungary Ducat fotr 812 lires or 8s. 1123d & a Sequin of Venice for 9 lires or 9.s 6d. But I have not yet assayed the mon At Naples the Piastre of Spain goes for 9 Carlins or 412 Tarins whence a Carlin is 86d & the Pistoles of Spain go for 33 carlines or 16s 6d & the Sequin for 198 carlins or 9s. At Rome The Teston of Rome is & weighs & therefore conteins & is worth . Ten Testons or make a Pistole of Italy wchwhich is lighterthe Pope & all Italy. This Pistole is abut worse the Spanish by about 4d or 5d & so is worth about 16s 10d in England
