The Peace <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">b</add>rought <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">in</add> a competent quantity <lb xml:id="l11"/>of forreign silver moneys in the years <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">1700 &amp;</add> 1701. <del type="strikethrough">The coyn<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">a</add>ge of Gold</del> In the <lb xml:id="l12"/>year 1697 the coynage of gold was put off <del type="strikethrough">till the &amp; <gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="2"/></del> till the silver hammer<supplied reason="foxed">ed</supplied> <lb xml:id="l13"/>moneys should b e recoyneed, &amp; thereby the coynage of gold became the greater <lb xml:id="l14"/>in the year 16</p>
                
                <p xml:id="par2"><add place="supralinear interlinear lineBeginning" indicator="no"><hi rend="superscript">†</hi> The <seg rend="ns" rendition="ns">☽</seg> coyned in the years 1696 1697 &amp; 1698 was out <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">o</add>ut of the English hammered moneys <lb xml:id="l15"/>&amp; <choice><abbr>wr<hi rend="superscript">t</hi></abbr><expan>wrought</expan></choice> plate.</add> That coyned in the years 1699, 1700, <del type="strikethrough">1701</del> was <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="2"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">ch</add>iefly out of hammered <lb xml:id="l16"/><add place="lineBeginning" indicator="no"><choice><abbr>m.</abbr><expan>moneys</expan></choice></add> <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> came slowly out of the county after the heat of the recoinage was at <lb xml:id="l17"/>an end. That <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">c</add>oyned in the year 1701 was chiefly out of forreign moneys &amp; <lb xml:id="l18"/><add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">bullion</add> brought in by the peace.
