                <p xml:id="par2">An order of his <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">ty</hi></abbr><expan>Majesty</expan></choice> &amp; Councill to appoint a day for the tryall of the <del type="strikethrough">Pix</del> <lb xml:id="l1"/><add place="supralinear lineBeginning" indicator="yes">moneys of gold &amp; silver in the Pix</add> at the usuall place neare the starr chamber.</p>
                
                <p xml:id="par3"><add place="inline interlinear" indicator="no">Three Clerks extract out of hteir books the weights <add place="supralinear" indicator="no">&amp; tale</add> of all the moneys taken us from time to time <lb xml:id="l2"/>&amp; the tale of the Pix &amp; 45 or 50 copies thereof are written fair to be distributed to <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>L<hi rend="superscript">ds</hi></abbr><expan>Lords</expan></choice> &amp; Iury at <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> Triall</add></p>
                
                <p xml:id="par4">The Lord Chancellour to be waited on to send his Letter to <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> Wardens <lb xml:id="l3"/><add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">&amp; Company</add> of the Goldsmith's <del type="cancelled">company</del> to returne <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">him</add> the names of an able Iury for <lb xml:id="l4"/>th<del type="over">e</del><add place="over" indicator="no">a</add><add place="inline" indicator="no">t</add> tryall<add place="inline" indicator="no">.</add> <del type="strikethrough">of the moneys of Gold &amp; Silver in the Pix</del></p>
                
                <p xml:id="par5">The returne of the names being made to his <choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">p</hi></abbr><expan>Lordship</expan></choice>, e sends his Warrant <lb xml:id="l5"/>by his Sarjeant at Armes or <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">Sarjeants</add> <del type="over"><unclear reason="del" cert="low">d</unclear></del><add place="over" indicator="no">D</add>eputy <del type="strikethrough">Sarjeant</del> to summon the<del type="cancelled">m</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="no">Iury</add> by their names <lb xml:id="l6"/>to meet at the same <del type="cancelled">place &amp;</del> time &amp; place.</p>
                
                <p xml:id="par6">The day <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">of this Tryal</add> being come the Pix boxes are put on <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> Table before <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">n</add>ine in <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> morning <del type="cancelled"><lb type="intentional" xml:id="l7"/>At about tenn a Clock</del> the Lords do meet &amp; take their places, the Officers <lb xml:id="l8"/>of the Mint Exchequer Officers &amp; Goldsmiths attending</p>
                
                <p xml:id="par7">The Lord Chancellour calls to his Sarjeant at Arms for their Warrant <lb xml:id="l9"/>for summoning of the Iury &amp; appoints the same to be delivered to the Remem<lb xml:id="l10"/>brancers Deputy who attends there with the copy of the Oath.</p>
                
                <p xml:id="par8">The Pix boxes are opened by the Officers of the Mint &amp; the Gold &amp; <lb xml:id="l11"/>Silver moneys therein poured upon the Table</p>
                
                <p xml:id="par9"><del type="strikethrough">And then</del> The Lord<del type="cancelled">s</del> C<del type="over">a</del><add place="over" indicator="no">h</add>ancellour <del type="strikethrough">doth</del> cau<del type="over">se</del><add place="over" indicator="no">se</add><add place="inline" indicator="no">th</add> the said Oath to be admi<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l12"/>nistred to <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> Iury.</p>
                
                <p xml:id="par10">The Lords <choice><abbr>Comm<hi rend="superscript">rs</hi></abbr><expan>Commissioners</expan></choice> of <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> Treasury appoin<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">t</add> the standard Troy-weights <lb xml:id="l13"/>&amp; the Indented Tryall pieces of his <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">ties</hi></abbr><expan>Majesties</expan></choice> <del type="over">c</del><add place="over" indicator="no">C</add>rown-gold Moneys &amp; standard <lb xml:id="l14"/>silver moneys kept in the Treasury to be delivered for <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> use of the Iury, <lb xml:id="l15"/>&amp; th<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">e</add> Lord<del type="cancelled"><unclear reason="del" cert="low">s</unclear></del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">Chancellour</add> examins the <choice><sic>Trall</sic><corr>Tryall</corr></choice> piece by the <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">like</add> Indented Tryal pieces of <lb xml:id="l16"/>the Mint.</p>
                
                <p xml:id="par11">The Lord Chancellour gives the Iury in charge to make tryall of <lb xml:id="l17"/>the gold &amp; silver moneys <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">in the Pix</add> both by weight &amp; fineness <del type="strikethrough">according to <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> Rules</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">in the most just manner that can be by the said standards of</add> <lb xml:id="l18"/><add place="supralinear lineBeginning" indicator="yes">their <choice><abbr>M<hi rend="overline">ati</hi>es</abbr><expan>Majesties</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Tre<hi rend="overline">ar</hi>y</abbr><expan>Treasury</expan></choice> according to the Rules</add> set down in the Indenture of the Mint</p>
                
                <p xml:id="par12">The<del type="cancelled"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="2"/></del> Lord<del type="cancelled">s Comm<hi rend="superscript">rs</hi></del> Chancellour appoints the Iury <del type="strikethrough">when they have agreed <lb xml:id="l19"/>in their Veredict where &amp;</del> when &amp; where to attend <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">h</add>is <choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">p</hi></abbr><expan>Lordship</expan></choice> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">with their Veredict</add> &amp; so departs <lb xml:id="l20"/>with <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> rest of the Lords.</p>
                
                <p xml:id="par13">The Iury being withdrawn inspect the Indenture of the Mint <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">&amp; in presence of the Officers of <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> Mint</add> examin <lb xml:id="l21"/>the gold &amp; silver moneys in the Pix by weight, tale &amp; fineness, <del type="strikethrough"><unclear reason="del" cert="low">or</unclear> after <lb xml:id="l22"/>the tryal when <add place="supralinear" indicator="no"><del type="strikethrough">when</del></add> they present their Veredict when they <unclear reason="del">weigh</unclear> <add place="supralinear" indicator="no"><del type="cancelled">&amp; being</del></add> agreed</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">&amp; when agreed</add> on their <lb xml:id="l23"/>Veredict, <del type="cancelled"><unclear reason="del" cert="low">&amp;</unclear></del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes"><del type="strikethrough">accompanied by the</del></add> present it to <add place="inline" indicator="no"><choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice></add> <del type="cancelled">his Lord<hi rend="superscript">p</hi></del> Lord Chancellour <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">being accompanied with <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> Officers of <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>M.</abbr><expan>Mint</expan></choice></add> <add place="inline" indicator="no">&amp;</add> he Remembran<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l24"/>cers Deputy attend<del type="over">s</del><add place="over" indicator="no">i</add><add place="inline" indicator="no">ng</add> to re<del type="over">ce</del><add place="over" indicator="no">ad</add><del type="cancelled">ive</del> it &amp; after it is read to receive it. <space dim="vertical" unit="lines" extent="3"/></p>
