                <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par2">Whereas our Commons in Parliament assembled did on the first 
                    <lb xml:id="l1"/>instant resolve that for encouraging the bringing wrought Plate <del type="over">to</del><add place="over" indicator="no">in</add>to 
                    <lb xml:id="l2"/>Our Mint to be coined, there should be allowed to such persons 
                    <lb xml:id="l3"/>as should so bring the same, after the rate of five shillings &amp; 
                    <lb xml:id="l4"/>five pence per ounce for the old standard &amp; five <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="2"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">sh</add>illings &amp; 
                    <lb xml:id="l5"/>eight pence per ounce for the new standard for all Plate on 
                    <lb xml:id="l6"/>which the mark of the Goldsmiths Company of London or other 
                    <lb xml:id="l7"/>City is set, &amp; for uncertain Plate not so marked (being reduced 
                    <lb xml:id="l8"/>to standard) after the rate of five shillings &amp; six pence per 
                    <lb xml:id="l9"/>ounce. And whereas our said Commons by their Address of 
                    <lb xml:id="l10"/>the fift instant h<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">a</add>ve besought us to give directions to the Officers 
                    <lb xml:id="l11"/>of our Mint to receive in all such <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">w</add>rought Plate as should 
                    <lb xml:id="l12"/>be brought to them &amp; to give receipts to such persons as 
                    <lb xml:id="l13"/>should bring the same for the amount thereof at the several 
                    <lb xml:id="l14"/>rates and prizes aforesaid &amp; that the same may be immedi<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l15"/>ately coined into shillings &amp; sixpences: <hi rend="large">Our Will</hi> &amp; pleasur<supplied reason="foxed">e</supplied> 
                    <lb xml:id="l16"/>therefore is &amp; we do hereby authorize <del type="strikethrough">you to</del> &amp; command 
                    <lb xml:id="l17"/>that you <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">d</add>o take <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="3"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">and</add> receive from all persons &amp; bodies <lb xml:id="l18"/>politick or corporate all such wrought Plate as they or 
                    <lb xml:id="l19"/>any of them shall bring to our said Mint of the kinds <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="2"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">&amp;</add> 
                    <lb xml:id="l20"/>standards above mentioned &amp; that you do give such receipts 
                    <lb xml:id="l21"/>for the same respectively as are desired by the said Address 
                    <lb xml:id="l22"/>of our Commons &amp; that the same be immediately coined <lb xml:id="l23"/>into shillings &amp; sixpences. And for so doing this shall be <lb xml:id="l24"/>to you &amp; all others herein concerned a sufficient Warrant. <lb xml:id="l25"/>Given</p>
