[See Westfall, 754, who suggests these documents may have been collected by Newton as master in reference to a dispute about control over melting with Craven Peyton, warden from 1708-1714. No documentation relating to such a dispute now survives, but there is ample evidence that Newton and Peyton disagreed about almost everything.]

The defective moneys to be remolten at the charge of the mrmaster (the warden not appointed to ouerse) fo. 4. / The warden of the kings moneyes shall take upp of euery pounde weight by weight. fo. 6.
