Ss.</add> The <choice><abbr>Exai<hi rend="overline">aio</hi>n</abbr><expan>Examination</expan></choice> of <persName>Judith Blower</persName> Spinster the daughter of <persName>Grace the wife of Jn.<hi rend="superscript">o</hi> Ryley</persName> by a former <choice><abbr>hu<hi rend="overline">sbd</hi></abbr><expan>husband</expan></choice> <date>18.<hi rend="superscript">th</hi> May 1704</date>.</p>
                <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par2">Who on <choice><abbr>Exai<hi rend="overline">aio</hi>n</abbr><expan>Examination</expan></choice> Saith that the first time she ever saw <persName>Christoꝑ <lb xml:id="l1"/>Emerson</persName> was on <date>Wednesday Evening the 3.<hi rend="superscript">d</hi> of this Instant may</date>, he <lb xml:id="l2"/>comeing thither with this <choice><abbr>Exam.<hi rend="superscript">t</hi></abbr><expan>Examinant</expan></choice><hi rend="superscript">s</hi> Father in Law <persName>John Ryley</persName>, and lay <lb xml:id="l3"/>there that night and early in the morning went with this <choice><abbr>Exam.<hi rend="superscript">t</hi></abbr><expan>Examinant</expan></choice><hi rend="superscript">s</hi> <lb xml:id="l4"/>father to his shop (which is halfe a mile from the house) and at <lb xml:id="l5"/>night came back again to the house to lye, and continued so to doe <lb xml:id="l6"/>untill <date>thursday morning the 11.<hi rend="superscript">th</hi> instant</date>, dureing which time, she this <lb xml:id="l7"/><choice><abbr>Exam.<hi rend="superscript">t</hi></abbr><expan>Examinant</expan></choice> hath heard the <choice><abbr>S<hi rend="superscript">d</hi></abbr><expan>Said</expan></choice> father in law say <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">t</hi></abbr><expan>that</expan></choice> the <choice><abbr>S<hi rend="superscript">d</hi></abbr><expan>Said</expan></choice> <persName>Emerson</persName> had <lb xml:id="l8"/><choice><abbr>ꝑmissed</abbr><expan>promissed</expan></choice> to make her <choice><abbr>S<hi rend="superscript">d</hi></abbr><expan>Said</expan></choice> father a clock for his meat and lodging <lb xml:id="l9"/>whilst he should stay there. - But this <choice><abbr>Exam.<hi rend="superscript">t</hi></abbr><expan>Examinant</expan></choice> denyeth that ever <lb xml:id="l10"/><persName>Edw: Holt</persName>, <persName>Tho: Holt</persName> <persName>Sam.
