Middx Ss The InformaionInformation of Eliz: yethe wife of Edward BoucherButcher of the parish of St Sepulcres in the city of London taken upon oath this 19th day of December 1702

Who saith that she this Informant has been acquainted with one Mrs Mary Sherston about three quarters of a year and the said Sherston did often perswade her this Informant to take counterfeit money of her hand at half value of what yethe denomination represents, viz. twenty shillings counterfeit money for ten shillings good money, and that about three weeks ago, she this Informant did Receive eight shillings in Counterfeit money from yethe said Mrs Mary Sherston for which she this Informant gave to the said Sherston $\frac{1}{2}$ a Crown in good money and three Links of Sauciges and that since since the time aforesaid she this Informant did receive from the said Mrs Mary Sherston seven shillings of yethe like counterfeit money, for wchwhich she paid her half a Crown in good money and since the time aforesdaforesaid she did likewise receive two shillings of Counterfeit money from yethe aforesdaforesaid Mrs Mary Sherston for which she gave her one shilling in good money, and told her this informant that she yethe SdSaid Mrs Mary Sherston together with one Will: (whose other name she this Informant doth not know) doth make the said Counterfeit money in the house of one Rose Iron near Rattliff high way, and that the said Iron and his wife together with the said Will doth assist yethe said Mrs Mary Sherston in the uttering and vending the said Counterfeit money made as aforesdaforesaid capt: Jurat anno et die pradict: corā me J: Stanley Elizab: her mark Butcher

The Further examination of Eliz: Butcher taken upon oath this 20th day of December 1702 Who saith that about a fortnight ago Ann Iron together with Mary Sherston both now in custody, did bring to this Informants house in seacoal lane, eight shill2.ings cou1terfeit, resembling the currant coyn of this Kingdome and delivered the same joyntly to this informant, and further saith that some time afterwards yethe SdSaid Ann Iron together wthwith the said Sherston did deliver to this informant seaven counterfeit shillsshillings in yethe Kitchen belonging to the SdSaid Ann Iron in Virginia street & further saith that Rose Iron yethe husband of yethe SdSaid Ann did deliver unto this inform.ttinformant one counterfeit shilling for yethe value of six pennys worth of Black puddings and offered her another shilling, which she refused, and yethe said Rose Iron did tell this informttinformant ytthat he had 15d of Counterfeit money far better then what she had received of Mrs Sherston, for that hers was but Stuff to his, and that he said he was lately come from yethe countery where he had uttered counterfeit shillings and half crowns capt coram me ann et die predict: J Stanley Eliz: her mark Butcher
