Who saith thethat she did lodge in the House of Mary Webster in in Wine Office Court in Fleet Street, and that about 6. months agoe the SdSaid Mary Webster togeather with her brother John Chapman did frequently (but more ꝑticularlyparticularly on a Sunday) lock up themselves in a Parlour for 2. or 3. houres togeather and that one Sunday she this Deponent bringing in Dinner into yethe SdSaid parlour, did there see Scales weights & gold Coyns lye upon the Table, and ytthat upon this Deponents comeing in they put the Gold into one heap and lay'd it aside. And this Deponent further saith, that the SdSaid Mary Webster did send this Deponent to buy a neck of Mutton, and gave her a Pistole, but the Butcher careying the pistole to a Goldsmith the SdSaid pistole wanted 9d of weight and he yethe SdSaid Goldsmith said that it had been newly filed. And this Deponent further saith, that one day comeing into yethe parlour aforesaid she did see the aforesdaforesaid Mary Webster take a Tobacco-pipe out of the fire and pour something out of it upon a sheet of paper, wchwhich did resemble (and look like) Gold. whereupon the SdSaid Mrs Webster did call her bruit for comeing so abruptly into yethe Room And this Deponent further Saith that yethe SdSaid Mrs Webster often sent ysthis Deponent out to buy Severall things, and always have her Gold wchwhich was very often refused to be changed And this Depon.tDeponent further saith ytthat she has severall times Seen Cooke plates in the SdSaid Mary Webster's Closet, with peices cut out of yethe Edges Larger than a Crown peice. And further saith that yethe said Mary Webster did once send this Deponent to a Gold Wyre Driwer, to know if he had any broad pieces, or any other freind of hers had, and she would give them silver for them, for ytthat she had ꝑticularparticular occasion for them.
