Who being duely ExaiedExamined saith and confesseth that he has Lodged at one Monsieur Carcars in Dukes place near Aldgait for yethe Space of three Months last past, and ytthat he is by trade a Marchant, and that he lived at a Chandly in Cam̄omile Street, near Bishopsgait for the Space of two months before he came to Dukes place, and ytthat before he came to Lodge in Cam̄omile Street, he lodged at a Serjants in St Katherines for the Space of 5. months. That he has been acquainted with Mr Massey (now in Newgait) ever Since he changed his Religion and turn'd Protestant, and wrote a book called the Protestant in Good humour that he never lived at the Coffee house in George Alley in the Stand nor does he know Mrs Maizey who goes for his wife, And ytthat he knows nothing at all concerning any of yethe Tooles Metall and other things fit for coyning, which were found in the Garret of the Coffee house aforesaid, And further saith, that he knows a Frenchman com̄only call'd Doctor who Stutters a little, who has made Severall Counterfeit french Lowis d'ores and Spanish Pistoles, and Gilds the same, and has delivered them to him to Utter, wchwhich said Frenchman frequently useth Tom's Coffee-house in S.t Martin's Layn, and resorts to a French Ministers in the Mews Cap.t Coram me Philip Roza Jos.
