                <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par2">Who being duely <choice><abbr>Ex<hi rend="overline">aie</hi>d</abbr><expan>Examined</expan></choice> saith and confesseth that he has Lodged at one <lb xml:id="l2"/>Monsieur <persName>Carcars</persName> in <placeName>Dukes place near Aldgait</placeName> for <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> Space of three Months <lb xml:id="l3"/>last past, and <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">t</hi></abbr><expan>that</expan></choice> he is by trade a Marchant, and that he lived at a <persName>Chandl<unclear reason="copy" cert="medium">y</unclear></persName> <lb xml:id="l4"/>in <placeName>Cam̄omile Street, near Bishopsgait</placeName> for the Space of two months <lb xml:id="l5"/>before he came to <placeName>Dukes place</placeName>, and <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">t</hi></abbr><expan>that</expan></choice> before he came to Lodge <lb xml:id="l6"/>in <placeName>Cam̄omile Street</placeName>, he lodged at a <persName>Serjants</persName> in <placeName>S<hi rend="superscript">t</hi> Katherines</placeName> for the <lb xml:id="l7"/>Space of 5. months. That he has been acquainted with M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> <persName>Massey</persName> <lb xml:id="l8"/>(now in Newgait) ever Since he changed his Religion and turn'd <lb xml:id="l9"/>Protestant, and wrote a book called the Protestant in Good humour <lb xml:id="l10"/>that he never lived at the Coffee house in <placeName>George Alley in the Stand</placeName> <lb xml:id="l11"/>nor does he know M<hi rend="superscript">rs</hi> <persName>Maizey</persName> who goes for his wife, And <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">t</hi></abbr><expan>that</expan></choice> he knows <lb xml:id="l12"/>nothing at all concerning any of <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> Tooles Metall and other <lb xml:id="l13"/>things fit for coyning, which were found in the Garret of the <lb xml:id="l14"/>Coffee house aforesaid, And further saith, that he knows a <lb xml:id="l15"/>Frenchman com̄only call'd <persName>Doctor</persName> who Stutters a little, who has <lb xml:id="l16"/>made Severall <add indicator="yes" place="supralinear">Counterfeit</add> french Lowis d'ores and Spanish Pistoles, and Gilds <lb xml:id="l17"/>the same, and has delivered them to him to Utter, <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> said French<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l18"/>man frequently useth Tom's Coffee-house in <placeName>S.<hi rend="superscript">t</hi> Martin's Layn</placeName>, and resorts to a French Ministers in <placeName>the Mews</placeName> <lb xml:id="l19"/><foreign xml:lang="lat">Cap.<hi rend="superscript">t</hi> Coram me</foreign> <space dim="horizontal" unit="chars" extent="30"/> <hi rend="large"><persName>Philip Roza</persName></hi> <lb xml:id="l20"/><persName>Jos.
