This informant said ytthat about Christmas last was three Years one Henry Steward of Stoney Cane in yethe parish of Tarbick in yethe County of Warwick Husbandman did in yethe parish of Bromsgrove & in yethe house of this informant & in this informants presence make & coin false Money as Crowns half Crowns shillings & sixpences & ytthat for this inform.tsinformants encouragement he help'd this Inform.tInformant in his troubles wthwith all sorts of necessarys for himself & family & gave ysthis inform.tinformant money several times in yethe Goal ytthat he should not inform agtagainst him

This InformtInformant further saith ytthat about a Year agoe one John Newey of Cobby Hill in yethe parish of Tarbick in yethe County of Warwick shoemaker did come to yethe House of this informtinformant & told ysthis inform.tsinformants wife ytthat he could coin as well as any man in England & tooke ysthis inform.tsinformants wife & shewed her his moulds & five shilling peices & ysthis inform.tinformant being from home he yethe SdSaid John Newy did in yethe house of this informtinformant make false money in yethe presence of ysthis inform.tsinformants wife wchwhich this inform.tsinformants wife is ready to make out upon her oath.

This InformtInformant further sayeth ytthat about three years agoe one John Turner of yethe parisg of Ipsly near Redditch in yethe County of wacrwick ysthis informtinformant going to yethe house of yethe SdSaid John Turner did there see yethe SdSaid John Turner make & coin false money as Shillings & sixpences & layd up more metall for another time

This InformtInformant further saith ytthat about yethe same time this informtinformant saw one Thomas Lees of Upton near Bromesgroves in yethe County of Worcester receive money of yethe SdSaid John Newy wchwhich was false money to put it away wchwhich yethe SdSaid Thomas Lees did know yethe same to be false & counterfeit money & knew yethe SdSaid John Newey to be a counterfeit coiner. SrSir Herewith I send you yethe Informations of Lacy he tells me Mr Seward is a man of 100 ꝑ Annper Annum & has promissed me a farther discovery Lacy was convicted about 2 year Since for Coyning & was pardoned & is now sent to goal again upon suspicion of following yethe same trade again & as far as I can understand by yethe interest of some of those he now impeaches who are willing to hang him ytthat he may make no farther discoverys if you please to give me any farther directions it shall be observed by Worc.trWorcester SrSir yryour most humble Serv.tServant May yethe 8 1701Tho: Bearcroft
