                <p rend="center" xml:id="par1">The Informa<choice><orig><hi rend="overline">c</hi></orig><reg>ti</reg></choice>on of Sarah Cletor wife of George Cletor <lb xml:id="l1"/>of the <choice><orig>ꝑ</orig><reg>par</reg></choice>ish of S<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>. Georges in the fields in the said County of <lb xml:id="l2"/><choice><abbr>M<hi rend="overline">iddx</hi></abbr><expan>Middlesex</expan></choice> Labourer 17 day of May 1699</p>
                
                <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par2">Who saith that about 3 quarters of a year ago this <choice><abbr>Inform<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>Informant</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l3"/>saw one <choice><orig>I</orig><reg>J</reg></choice>ohn Iefferies a man of an uncertain habita<choice><orig><hi rend="overline">c</hi></orig><reg>ti</reg></choice>on <lb xml:id="l4"/>and one <choice><orig>I</orig><reg>J</reg></choice>ohn Buterfield <choice><abbr><hi rend="overline">als</hi></abbr><expan>alias</expan></choice> Beterly make counterfeit <lb xml:id="l5"/>money by casting at the Naggs head Alehouse in the <lb xml:id="l6"/>Lest hall in the <choice><orig>ꝑ</orig><reg>par</reg></choice>ish of S<hi rend="superscript">t</hi> Gyles but the said Iefferies and <lb xml:id="l7"/>Butterfield having not the Art of mixing Metalls <lb xml:id="l8"/>and that they would give a <choice><sic>Ginea</sic><corr>Guinea</corr></choice> to nay body that would <lb xml:id="l9"/>teach them how to mix Metalls and desired this <choice><abbr>Depon<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>Deponent</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l10"/>to help them to a person that would teach them the Art <lb xml:id="l11"/>of mixing Metalls fitt to be made in<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">t</add>o counterfeit money <lb xml:id="l12"/>and this <choice><abbr>Depon<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>Deponent</expan></choice> acquainting one <choice><orig>I</orig><reg>J</reg></choice>ohn Smith who was <lb xml:id="l13"/>since executed for coyning therewith he sent them by <lb xml:id="l14"/>this <choice><abbr>Inform<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>Informant</expan></choice> a Receipt to mix Metalls as aforesaid <lb xml:id="l15"/>and they gave 10<hi rend="superscript">s</hi> in part of payment of 20<hi rend="superscript">s</hi>. which <lb xml:id="l16"/>they promissed to give for the said Receipt and this <lb xml:id="l17"/><choice><abbr>Depon<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>Deponent</expan></choice> hath been told that the said Iefferies &amp; Butterfield <lb xml:id="l18"/>have been latly at work in making counterfeit money <lb xml:id="l19"/>and that the said Iefferies did lartly offer Counterfeit <lb xml:id="l20"/>money to put off</p>
