The Informaction of Margaret Spellman wife of Nicholas Spellman of Rupert strstreet ꝑparish of St IJames Westmrinster yeoman 8th august 1698

Who saith that on Fryday last this Informt.Informant was in company of one Mary Miller and Margery IJohnson in Rupert street aforesdsaid and then and there the sdsaid Margery IJohnson did declare ytthat Mary Miller had ruind a Family by bear swearing agtagainst them and being treatcherous to ymthem + would take away their lives especially Mr Whitfields but ytthat her mother Whitfield had ytthat day fetcht her out of prison and paid part of her Fees and ytthat she (Margery IJohnson) would endeavrour to cut off the Evidence of the sdsaid Mary Miller which she had given agtagainst Whitfield and his wife and called Miller Treatcherous Bitch and the day following which was Saturday the said Margery IJohnson came to this Informt.Informant and did tell her that if she would swear agt.against Mary Miller ytthat she this Informt.Informant had seen her make false money she the said Margery IJohnson would help this Informt.Informant to a friend ytthat would be very kind to her but this Depont.Deponent refusing to do so because she never saw any such thing by Miller The sdsaid Margery IJohnson did then deeclare that if she would not swear agt.against Miller as aforesdsaid she would sear yt.that this DepontDeponent had made false money in her sight and shewed this Informt.Informant some money which was wrapt in a paper and said she would swear that she had it of this InformtInformant.

And ytthat in the evening of the day that Mary Miller was apprehended this InformtInformant saw one Mr Whitfield at his own Door in the ꝑparish of St. Gyles MiddxMiddlesex and the sdsaid Whitfield told this Informt.Informant ytthat Mary Miller had decryed a Countrey GentGentleman (a Friend of his) and had sent him to Newgate abot.about Counterfeit pistols but had Whitfield imployd any Trusty friend to have put off Counterfeit pistols he could have got 10l ꝑper week by it and named severall of his acquaintance that got 10li a week by putting off Counterfeit Spanish pistolls who lived in Wapping as Whitfield declared but this InformtInformant cannot remberremember their names
