Who saith ytthat in Iune last was by vows one Willm Chaloner came to the house of the sdsaid Tho: Holloway in Clare Market and this Informt.Informant did then and there see the said William Chaloner very busy in mending 3 Dyes for half Crownes and ytthat upon Christmas Eve was 4 yeares this Informt.Informant by the direcction of her said husband went to the Cross Keyes Inn in Grace Church street London in order to meet the said Willm chaloner and to receive of him 40 counterfeit GineasGuineas and this Informt.Informant staid at yethe sdsaid Inn from morning till night eve the said Chaloner came to her and at night the said Chaloner and the one Mrs Ioan Porter came togeather to this Informt.Informant to yethe said Cross Keyes Inn and this Informt.Informant did then and there receive of the said Chaloner 40 counterfeit GineasGuineas and she enquiring of him why he came noe sooner with yethe said GineasGuineas he replyed and said andthat he and the said Mrs Porrter had been bthat day in making of them and ytthat he came to this Informt.Informant as soon as they had finished them and this Informt.Informant gave to the said Chaloner after the rate of 9s ꝑper piece for yethe said false GineasGuineas and ytthat within these 4 yeares last post she this Informt.Informant hath severall times h recedreceived of the said Wm Chaloner and Mrs. Porter severall false GineasGuineas and counterfeit money and the said Chaloner + Porter did declare that they did make ymthem themselves and this Informt.Informant saith ytthat one Michael Gillingham and his wife have been privy to yethe said practises of yethe said Willm Chaloner + Mrs Porter and used to hyde Countrerfeit GineasGuineas and money for ymthem under yethe butts of their Cellar as they told this InformtInformant and she hath severall times recedreceived of the said Gillingham + his wife false GineasGuineas and money which they said was left with them by the said Chaloner and Mrs Porter who is daughter to the said Mrs Gillingham + ytthat abotabout Iune was 12 month this InformtInformant saw the said Willm Chaloner guild a Silver GineasGuineas + Spanish guild false GineasGuineas and pistolls And ytthat in or abotabout the month of October was 12 month the said Michl Gillingham came to the said Tho Holloway to yethe Bolt and Tan Inn in Fleet street and said, ChalonrChaloner (who was then a prisoner in Newgate) had sent him to tell him ytthat he would give him 20li if he would not appear as a witnes agt.against him the following sessions and holloway did agree with the said Gillingham to do so and Gillingham promissed to pay the sdsaid money and in 2 or 3 days after the said GillinghGillingham did in ꝑpersuance of the said promisse pay unto Tho Holloway 9li 11s in part of paymt.payment thereof and the said Holloway agreed with one IJames Lawes Master of a Scotch Vessel called yethe Mary of Leith and was to give him 3l 10s to – carry (by sea) Holloway's Children + Maid ServtServant into Scotland and Gillingham paid yethe sdsaid Lawes 3sli towards yethe said passage and yethe sdsaid Thomas Holloway and this InformtInformant went by Land into Scotland + Gillingham and one Henry Sauders a Tallow Chandler went with them from one Mr. Brownes at yethe Armitage Staires near Wapping a farmeInne where they the said Tho: Holloway + this – Informt.Informant ynthen lodged to yethe Queens head at Bow the mark of Eliz B Holloway Iurat die et anno preedict Coram Charles Lee
