INn obedience to yor.your Lordsps:Lordships Order of Reference of yethe 3 Iune Last upon yethe annex'd peconpetition of yethe Provost of yethe Monyrs.Monyers wherein he setts forth that by Her Majties.Majesties Signe Manual some of yethe monyrs.monyers were sent to yethe mint at Edinburgh to assist in yethe recoinage of the moneys of North Britaine wth.with an allowance of 9d ꝑper £wtpound weight for Coinage & sixteen pounds to Each man for his journey backwards & forwards, & three shillings ꝑper diemem to Each man for his maintainance there whenever there should not be one thousand pounds Weight coined in the week: We have considered yethe said peconpetition & by yethe monyrs.monyers book of Accots.Accounts signed by yethe Genl.General, the Masstr.er & yethe other Officers of yethe said Mint we finde that there was coined by yethe said Monyrs.Monyers 103346Lwt. pound weight of Silvr.er moneys. The Coinage of wch.which at 9d. ꝑper Lwtpound weight Amots.Amounts to 3875li: 09s: 06d:, whereof yethe sd.said Monyrs.Monyers have recedreceived of Mr Allardes the Mastr.Master of yethe said Mint the sum̄mm of 1429: 06s: 0212 & there remains still due to them from yethe sd.said Mastr.Master the sum̄mm of 2446£ 3s: 3d12 as the PeconPetition setts forth; wchwhich sum̄mm is not apt paid by reason that the sd.said Mastr.Master hath not apt reced.received money from yethe Governmt.Government sufficient for defraying yethe Charge of yethe sd.said Coinage, And whereas the MastrMaster of Her Majts.Majestys Mint in yethe Tower pays 9d: ꝑper Lwt.pound weight to yethe Monyr.Monyer whereof 3d: is out of his owne allowance of 16d12 ꝑper Lwt.pound weight for Coinage & yethe other penny is placed to Her Majts.Majestys Mint at Edinburgh should in like man̄nner pay 8d: of yethe 9d: out of his own allowance for Coinage & be allow'd yethe other penny by her Majtie:Majestie in his Accots:Accounts We finde also further due from Her MajtieMajestie to yethe sd.said Monyrs.Monyers for yethe Iounreys of five of them to Edinburgh & foure of them back the summ̄m of 72£ & upon theire allowance of 3s: ꝑper diem the sum̄mm of 182li: 2sh All which sums Her Majte.Majestie has appointed by Her sd.said WarrtWarrant to be paid in such manermanner as Yor.our Lordsp.Lordship shall think fitt
