                <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par2"><hi rend="large">May it Please Your Lordship</hi></p>
                
                <p xml:id="par3">In Obedience to Your Lordships Order of Reference of the 8<hi rend="superscript">th</hi>. May Wee <lb xml:id="l1"/>have Considered the <choice><abbr>peti<hi rend="overline">co</hi>n</abbr><expan>petition</expan></choice> of the Gravers of the Mint hereunto annexed and are <lb xml:id="l2"/>humbly of Opinion that good Graving is the best security of the Coin and is best <lb xml:id="l3"/>acquired by Graving of Medals and that without Exercise in such Graving the <lb xml:id="l4"/>Gravers may in time lose the Skill which they have allready acquired, And <lb xml:id="l5"/>Considering that it is the Master and Wrokers Duty to Coin the Money well and <lb xml:id="l6"/>that the Gravers of the Mint are Her <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">ts</hi>.</abbr><expan>Majestys</expan></choice> Servants under his Direction for that <lb xml:id="l7"/>purpose, We are humbly of Opinion that He be Empowered by Her <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">ts</hi>.</abbr><expan>Majestys</expan></choice> Warrant <lb xml:id="l8"/>to give leave to the said Gravers or any of them to make and sell such Medalls of <lb xml:id="l9"/>fine Gold and fine silver as do not relate to state affairs and upon such sort of <lb xml:id="l10"/>Medalls as are made for rewarding persons by Her Majesty for their good Services <lb xml:id="l11"/>to Impress the Service such Medals are given for with the Date.</p>
                
                <p xml:id="par4">And Wee are further of opinion that in the same <choice><abbr>Warr<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>Warrant</expan></choice> the said Master <lb xml:id="l12"/>and Worker be Empowered to Direct and Require the said Gravers and every of <lb xml:id="l13"/>them to make such other Medalls of fine Gold fine Silver and fine Copper with <lb xml:id="l14"/>plain historical Designs and Inscriptions in Memory of Great Actions as <lb xml:id="l15"/>shall be Approved by the Warden, Master, &amp; Comptroller of the said Mint, or by <lb xml:id="l16"/>any other persons whom Your Lordship shall please to Appoint and to make <lb xml:id="l17"/>Embossments puncheons Dyes &amp; other <choice><abbr>Instrum<hi rend="superscript">ts</hi>.</abbr><expan>Instruments</expan></choice> requisite for Coining the same <lb xml:id="l18"/>and to Worke in such Manner for making the same as He the said Master <lb xml:id="l19"/>shall Appoint</p>
