                <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par3"><hi rend="larger">May it Please Your Lordships</hi> <space dim="vertical" unit="lines" extent="2"/></p>
                
                <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par4"><hi rend="large">When</hi> the Gravers Pattent was Settled about Ten Yeares <lb xml:id="l1"/>Since, it was thought necessary to take away from them the <lb xml:id="l2"/>power they had of making Medals without Controll.</p>
                
                <p xml:id="par5">Vpon a Report made some time after by the Officers of the <lb xml:id="l3"/>Mint that good Graving was the best Security of the Coin of the <lb xml:id="l4"/>Kingdom, and best acquired by Graving of Medals, and that <lb xml:id="l5"/>without exercise in such Graving the Gravers might in time <lb xml:id="l6"/>loose the Skill they had allready acquired, Her late Majesty <lb xml:id="l7"/>was then pleased to grant a Warrant (a Copy whereof is <lb xml:id="l8"/>hereunto annexed) impowering the Officers of the Mint to <lb xml:id="l9"/>direct the said Gravers to make such Medals as should be <lb xml:id="l10"/>approved of by them.</p>
                
                <p xml:id="par6"><hi rend="large">As</hi> the said Warrant is of no force at present, We humbly <lb xml:id="l11"/>represent to Your Lordships, that for the reasons therein <lb xml:id="l12"/>expressed, We hope it may be thought necessary the Same <lb xml:id="l13"/>should be renewed that the Gravers m<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">a</add>y improve their <lb xml:id="l14"/>hands, when they are not employed about the Coins <space dim="vertical" unit="lines" extent="1"/></p>
