    <p xml:id="par6">About two years after, the said Iane Newstead was <lb xml:id="l40"/><del type="strikethrough">again</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="no">again</add> committed to prison <del type="strikethrough">for putt</del> by the name of Iane <lb xml:id="l41"/>Newstead alias Housden for putting of counterfeit money &amp; <lb xml:id="l42"/>upon suspicion of coining the same, &amp; <del type="strikethrough">three pounds</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="no">about four pounds</add> of <lb xml:id="l43"/>counterfeit money <del type="strikethrough">being</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="no">were</add> then taken upon her &amp; three <lb xml:id="l44"/>files with some sand <del type="strikethrough"><add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">for casting <unclear reason="del" cert="medium">&amp; dying also</unclear></add></del> found in her house<add place="inline" indicator="no">, &amp;</add> she confessed <lb xml:id="l45"/>that she <del type="strikethrough">had</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">received</add> the <choice><sic><del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="2"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">the</add></sic><corr/></choice> <add place="supralinear" indicator="no">said</add> counterfeit money <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">&amp; <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> three files</add> of one Mr <del type="over">D</del><add place="over" indicator="no">T</add>uck <fw type="catch" place="bottomRight">whom</fw><fw type="pag" place="bottomLeft" hand="#unknown">466</fw><fw type="pag" place="bottomRight" hand="#unknown1">199</fw><pb xml:id="p466v" n="466v"/>whom she knew to be a coyner &amp; that <del type="strikethrough">the files were</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="no">the sand was</add> <lb xml:id="l46"/><del type="strikethrough">his &amp; the sand belonged to one</del><space dim="horizontal" unit="chars" extent="15"/> <del type="strikethrough">who had</del><add place="lineBeginning supralinear" indicator="no">left in her custody by another man who had brought her</add> <lb xml:id="l47"/><del type="strikethrough">brought her</del> into <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> acquaintaince of the said Tuck <lb xml:id="l48"/><del type="strikethrough"><unclear reason="del" cert="low">Duck</unclear></del>.</p>
    
    <p xml:id="par7">Aftwerd<choice><sic>erd</sic><corr type="noText"/></choice>s in the years 1702 she was again com<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l49"/>mitted to prison &amp; convicted of counterfeiting the  <lb xml:id="l50"/><del type="strikethrough">current</del> coyn of this kingdom &amp; pardoned by her <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">ty</hi></abbr><expan>Majesty</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l51"/>in order to be transported, &amp; <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">was</add> set at liberty upon <lb xml:id="l52"/><del type="strikethrough">bail</del> giving security to transport herself <del type="strikethrough">within a</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="no">&amp; therefore being now found in England she is</add> <lb xml:id="l53"/><del type="strikethrough"><unclear reason="del" cert="low">carte</unclear> <unclear reason="del" cert="medium">but never performed</unclear> <unclear reason="del" cert="low">&amp;</unclear> did, &amp; therefore is <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">still</add></del><add place="supralinear" indicator="no"><del type="strikethrough">but did not transport her self</del></add> liable to <lb xml:id="l54"/>be <del type="strikethrough">called <unclear reason="del" cert="medium">executed</unclear> upon her forme</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="no">called down to the barr <del type="strikethrough">&amp; executed</del> upon the</add> judgment then given <lb xml:id="l55"/>against her</p>
    
    <p xml:id="par8"><del type="blockStrikethrough">And in the Trial of her &amp; Mary Pilman the <lb xml:id="l56"/>last sessions at the Old Bayly <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">for counterfeiting the coin</add>, tho the <del type="strikethrough">credit of <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice></del> <lb xml:id="l57"/>principal witness agaisnt them <del type="cancelled"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del> was but of slender <lb xml:id="l58"/>credit <add place="supralinear" indicator="no"><unclear reason="hand" cert="medium">alone</unclear></add>, yet the circumstances <del type="strikethrough">against them were for</del> <lb xml:id="l59"/>for confimring that evidence <add place="supralinear" indicator="no">were convincing</add> <del type="strikethrough">was such as convinces us</del> <lb xml:id="l60"/>of the trial of the Verdict against them <del type="strikethrough">was such as convinces us <lb xml:id="l61"/>of the truth of the Verdict against them</del>
        
        <add place="lineBeginning supralinear lineEnd" indicator="yes">were convincing <lb xml:id="l62"/><del type="strikethrough">this <unclear reason="del" cert="low"><choice><abbr>comm.</abbr><expan>committee</expan></choice> too being found</unclear> <gap reason="illgblDel" unit="words" extent="1"/> Mary Pitman <add place="supralinear" indicator="no"><del type="strikethrough">at whose house the <gap reason="illgblDel" unit="words" extent="3"/></del></add> &amp; a parcel of counterfeit money being</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="no">to coin</add><del type="blockStrikethrough">dropt into the Thames <del type="over"><gap reason="over" unit="chars" extent="2"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">by</add> Iane Housden <lb xml:id="l63"/>when she was apprehended.</del></add> But against <lb xml:id="l64"/>Mary Pitman we <del type="strikethrough">know nothing older then</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="no">meet with nothing antecedent to</add> the fact <lb xml:id="l65"/>for <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> she <del type="strikethrough">was</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">stands</add>  now condemned.</del></p>

<p xml:id="par10">And <del type="cancelled"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="3"/></del><add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">whereas</add> she &amp; Mary Pitman <del type="strikethrough">being</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="no">were</add> accused <add place="supralinear lineEnd" indicator="yes">the last Sessions at the old Baily</add> of coining <lb xml:id="l66"/>together &amp; <del type="strikethrough">the last sessions</del> convicted by the finding of the <lb xml:id="l67"/>coining Tools &amp; counterfeit money, <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">we observe that</add> <supplied reason="faded">th</supplied>is is the second conviction <lb xml:id="l68"/>of Iane Housdens<del type="over"><supplied reason="illgblDel">,</supplied></del><add place="over" indicator="no">;</add> <del type="over">b</del><add place="over" indicator="no">B</add>ut against Mary Pitman we meet <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">th</hi></abbr><expan>with</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l69"/>nothing antecedent to the fact of <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> she now stands convicted</p>

But against Mary Pitman <lb xml:id="l79"/>we <del type="strikethrough">know</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="no">meet with</add> nothing antecedent to the fact of <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> she now stands <lb xml:id="l80"/>convicted<add place="infralinear" indicator="no"><del type="cancelled"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="3"/></del></add>.</p>
