    <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par1"><handShift new="#und" scribe="Clerical_Hand"/><hi rend="large">M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>.</hi> Anthony Redhead was Deputy Master + Worker to <lb xml:id="l1"/>Thomas Neale Es in the late Mint at Norwich whose Bond <lb xml:id="l2"/>M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>. Neale tooke in the kings name for the faithfull <choice><orig>ꝑ</orig><reg>per</reg></choice>formance <lb xml:id="l3"/>of his Office.<space dim="horizontal" unit="chars" extent="8"/>Att the breaking up of that Mint the said <lb xml:id="l4"/>Redhead being much in arreare by reason of his said Office + oath <lb xml:id="l5"/>being made thereof an Extent in or about September 1699 was issued <lb xml:id="l6"/>out of the Court of Exche<choice><orig></orig><reg>quer</reg></choice> at the instance + <choice><abbr>ꝑresenc<hi rend="overline">on</hi></abbr><expan>presentation</expan></choice> of the said <lb xml:id="l7"/>M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>. Neale <choice><abbr>ag<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>against</expan></choice> the said M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Redheads body goods + chattells lands <lb xml:id="l8"/>+ Tenements by vertue of which his goods were seized by the <lb xml:id="l9"/>sherriffs of London + sold afterwards by vertue of a condition <unclear reason="hand" cert="low">Expird</unclear> <lb xml:id="l10"/>+ the money ariseing thereby was sometime after by order of the Court <lb xml:id="l11"/>of Exche<choice><orig></orig><reg>quer</reg></choice> answered + paid by the said sherriffs to M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Newton the <lb xml:id="l12"/>p<choice><orig><hi rend="superscript">r</hi></orig><reg>re</reg></choice>sent Master and worker of the Mint for her <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">ties</hi>.</abbr><expan>Majesties</expan></choice> use + by <lb xml:id="l13"/>vertue of the said Extent the said sherriffs tooke the said Redheads <lb xml:id="l14"/>Body who has remained in prison Ever since for the remainder of <lb xml:id="l15"/>his said Debt</p>
    
    <p xml:id="par2"><add place="marginLeft" indicator="no"><hi rend="large">Note.</hi></add> M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>. Neale is dead + much in arrears to the Crowne by reason <lb xml:id="l16"/>of his Office <space dim="vertical" unit="lines" extent="1"/></p>
    
    
    <p xml:id="par3"><add place="marginLeft" indicator="no"><hi rend="large"><choice><orig>Qu<hi rend="overline">ere</hi></orig><reg>Quaere</reg></choice>.</hi></add>
        Whether her <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">tie</hi>:</abbr><expan>Majestie</expan></choice> without discharging M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>. Neale + sureties <lb xml:id="l17"/>of M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Redheads said Debt can enlarge M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Redheads body <lb xml:id="l18"/>by a <foreign xml:lang="lat">Su<choice><orig>ꝑ</orig><reg>per</reg></choice>sedeas quia processuo Erromie emanavit</foreign>, Or if any <lb xml:id="l19"/>+ what Method may be safely taken to doe it <space dim="vertical" unit="lines" extent="1"/></p>
    
    <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par4"><handShift new="#un" scribe="Unknown_Hand"/>Redhead being only a Deputy <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="2"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">of</add> M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>. Neale (for whom he was answ<choice><orig><hi rend="overline"><hi rend="superscript">r</hi>.</hi></orig><reg>er</reg></choice>able) <lb xml:id="l20"/>and M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>. Neale for his own indemnity haveing taken Bond from him <lb xml:id="l21"/>(in <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> name of the late King) for his well behaveing himselfe in his <lb xml:id="l22"/>Office, that Bond belonged to M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>. Neales benefit, + at his prosecution, Therefore <lb xml:id="l23"/>I am of opinion her <choice><abbr>Maj<hi rend="superscript">ty</hi>.</abbr><expan>Majesty</expan></choice> cannot in reason or Iustice shew favour <lb xml:id="l24"/>to Redhead, by dischargeing him out of Prison, without <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> consent of the <lb xml:id="l25"/>Executors of M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>. Neales (for whose benefit he was taken in Execu<choice><orig><hi rend="overline">ī</hi></orig><reg>ti</reg></choice>on) <lb xml:id="l26"/>without also dischargeing the <choice><abbr>Exec<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>.</abbr><expan>Executor</expan></choice>, <del type="over"><unclear reason="del" cert="low">a</unclear></del><add place="over" indicator="no">A</add>nd if her <choice><abbr>Maj<hi rend="superscript">ty</hi>.</abbr><expan>Majesty</expan></choice> doe discharge him <lb xml:id="l27"/>I doubt in Equity it will be a barr to her Majesty to charge <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Exe<hi rend="overline">c<hi rend="superscript">rs</hi>.</hi></abbr><expan>Executors</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l28"/>for any default of Redhead; There cannot be a <foreign xml:lang="lat"><choice><abbr>suꝑ<hi rend="overline">sed</hi></abbr><expan>supersedeas</expan></choice> quia <lb xml:id="l29"/>erromie</foreign>, for that the Goods have been sold by vertue of the Extent:</p>
