Whereas by Ancient Charters frome yethe Crowne and confirmed by his present MatieMajestie as by severall his progenitors and predecessors Kings and Queens of England It hath been and is granted unto yethe Wardens of yethe Exchanges Monÿyers Workmen and other Ministers of his MatiesMajesties Mint deputed unto those things which concerne yethe said Office That they and every of ym.them are and shall bee Freed and discharged from being putt into any Assizes Iuries Inquests or Attaints although yethe same should touch his MatieMajestie or his heires And that none of ym.them against his will should be Mayor Sherriffe Bayliffe Escheator Constable Collector Inquisitor or Assessor of Tenths Fifteenths Subsidies Talliages Aides or other Impositions nor beare any other Other Office nor personal Service or duty whatsoever as the said Charter directs And ytthat they and every of ym.them should be quitt and discharged Forever in yethe City of London and all other Citys Townes and places where they do inhabit and where their Estates do lye of all Assessensments Taxaconstions Talliages Aids Loans Contributconstions Fifteenths Tenths Subsidies or other Imposiconstions whatsoever And every part thereof to yethe Kings MatieMajestie his heires and successors by yethe Comonalty of yethe Realme of England and otherwise granted and to bee granted And likewise from all Imprests Suites AcconsActions Arrests Attaints +&c. And yt.that all pleas and Complaints (pleas of Freehold and of yethe Crowne only excepted) should bee adjudged before yt.that Mastr.Master of his MatiesMajesties Mint And ytthat they or any of ym.them should not bee molested distreyned or otherwise grieved in their Lands TenmtsTenements Rents goods or Chattles but should have their due Allowance And discharge thereof before the Treasurer and Barrons of yethe Exchequer And whereas in yethe Terme of St Michael in yethe two and thirtieth year of yethe Raigne of King Charles yethe Second upon an hearing before yethe Barrons of yethe Excheqr.uer It was in pursuance to yethe said Charters Ordered That yethe Collectors of Taxes granted by Parliamt.Parliament or otherwise do upon Certificate under yethe hand and seale of yethe Warden of his MatiesMajesties Mint Fforbeare to make any distress upon their Estates goods or Chattles or upon their Tenemts.Tenements in any City Towne or place where yethe same do lye But shall returne ym.them with yethe sumessummes assessed upon them in super upon yethe Accounts of the said Collectors Now I Esqr.
