    <p xml:id="par3">For diminishing the expences occasioned by <choice><abbr>S<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>Sir</expan></choice> Ereskines 
        <lb xml:id="l2"/>Mine <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">&amp; making the greater dispatch <del type="strikethrough">of</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">in</add> that busines</add>, I most humbly offer to <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">ps</hi></abbr><expan>Lordships</expan></choice> consideration whether <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">it may not be advisable that</add> D<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Iustus 
        <lb xml:id="l3"/>Brandshagen &amp; the two Hamilton<del type="cancelled">'</del>s who are <del type="strikethrough">done</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="no">sent</add> down <del type="cancelled">in</del>to Scotland<add place="inline" indicator="no">,</add> <del type="strikethrough">about <lb xml:id="l4"/>this Mine may not</del> be ordered to smelt the Ore which lyes buried <del type="cancelled"><unclear reason="del" cert="low">by</unclear></del>
        <lb xml:id="l5"/>in Casks by <choice><abbr>S<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>Sir</expan></choice> <choice><orig>I</orig><reg>J</reg></choice>ohn Ereskins house, so soon as they have <del type="strikethrough">made</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="no">dispatched</add> the<del type="cancelled">ir</del> 
        <lb xml:id="l6"/>Report <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> by the <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">W</add>arrant of his Royal Highness they are <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">already</add> <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">o</add>rdered to
        <lb xml:id="l7"/>make: provided they find the <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">silver</add> produced <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">out</add> of that Ore <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="2"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">to</add> be more then 
        <lb xml:id="l8"/>sufficient to pay <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">all</add> the <del type="strikethrough">expences o</del> charges of smelting it. All three 
        <lb xml:id="l9"/>understand the smelting <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">of</add> <del type="over">o</del><add place="over" indicator="no">O</add>res &amp; can instruct one another &amp; therefore <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="2"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">ma</add><add place="inline" indicator="no">y</add>
        <lb xml:id="l10"/><del type="cancelled">all of <gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del> each of them wor<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">k</add> apart in several furnaces for making the 
        <lb xml:id="l11"/>greater dispatch. <del type="strikethrough">If the Ore had not been worth the smelting it would <lb xml:id="l12"/>not have been buried in Casks.</del> 
        
        <add place="inline interlinear" indicator="no">And while they are smelting this Ore their <lb xml:id="l13"/>Report may be considered in relation to the Min<del type="over"><unclear reason="del" cert="low">t</unclear></del><add place="over" indicator="no">e</add>, I make this propoal upon a <lb xml:id="l14"/>presumption that the Ore is worth smelting because it was buried <del type="strikethrough"><del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">f</add>or that end</del> in 
            <lb xml:id="l15"/>Casks for that reason <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">&amp; that they can find a convenient place for settin<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">g</add> up one or more furnaces</add>. As the Cakes of silver come from the Test, they may be 
            <lb xml:id="l16"/>marked <del type="cancelled">All which</del> with the Roman numbers I, II, III, IV, V, &amp;c stampt on them 
            <lb xml:id="l17"/>with a Chissel; &amp; <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">a list of</add> <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">t</add>he number &amp; weight of <del type="strikethrough">each</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">every Cake may</add> from time to time <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">be</add> sent up to <del type="strikethrough">London</del>
            <lb xml:id="l18"/><add place="supralinear lineBeginning" indicator="yes"><choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Lordps</abbr><expan>Lordships</expan></choice> or your Order</add> that the number weight &amp; value of the Cakes <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">of silver</add> extracted out of the Ore may be 
            <lb xml:id="l19"/><del type="strikethrough">known to <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> Lor</del> ascertained &amp; ma<del type="over">k</del><add place="over" indicator="no">d</add>e known <del type="strikethrough">to <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> Lord<hi rend="superscript">ps</hi></del> <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="2"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">fo</add>r preventing imbezzel<del type="over">ing</del><add place="over" indicator="no"><choice><orig>m<hi rend="superscript">ts</hi></orig><reg>ments</reg></choice></add>. 
                <lb xml:id="l20"/>And when these Cakes are melted into <del type="strikethrough">Ingots</del> large Ingots, the Ingots may be 
                <lb xml:id="l21"/>numbred &amp; weighed in the same manner. And the number &amp; weight of every 
                <lb xml:id="l22"/>Regulus or lump of coarse silver got out of a pott of Ore may be entred in 
            <lb xml:id="l23"/>book<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">s</add></add></p>
