    <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par2">May it please <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">ps</hi></abbr><expan>Lordships</expan></choice> <space dim="vertical" unit="lines" extent="1"/></p>
    
    <p xml:id="par3">In obedience to <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">ps</hi></abbr><expan>Lordships</expan></choice> Order that I should lay 
        <lb xml:id="l2"/>before <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">ps</hi></abbr><expan>Lordships</expan></choice> an account of the <del type="cancelled">Mer<gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/>amber of</del>
        <lb xml:id="l3"/>Medals made upon the last Coronation &amp; of the time requisite 
        <lb xml:id="l4"/>to make Medals upon the present occasion: I most humbly 
        <lb xml:id="l5"/>represent that twelve hundred Medals of silver &amp; three 
        <lb xml:id="l6"/>hundred of gold were then made by Order of Councill &amp; 
        <lb xml:id="l7"/>delivered to the Treasurer of the Houshold to be distributed 
        <lb xml:id="l8"/>at the Coronation, &amp; that <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">upon the<del type="strikethrough">ir Maj<hi rend="superscript">ts</hi> order</del> Queens Order signified <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">b</add>y the <choice><abbr>L<hi rend="superscript">d</hi></abbr><expan>Lord</expan></choice> Treasurers Warrant</add> five hundred &amp; fifteen Medals
        <lb xml:id="l9"/>of gold were made afterwards <del type="blockStrikethrough"><add place="inline" indicator="no">[</add>by the Lord Treasurers <lb xml:id="l10"/>Warrant<add place="inline" indicator="no">]</add></del> for the House of Commons then sitting &amp; deli<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l11"/>vered to their Speaker, <add place="inline" indicator="no">&amp;</add> forty more <del type="strikethrough">for forreign Ministers</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">of gold</add>
        <lb xml:id="l12"/>were delivered to my <choice><abbr>L<hi rend="superscript">d</hi></abbr><expan>Lord</expan></choice> C<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">h</add>amberlain, <del type="strikethrough">whereof those <lb xml:id="l13"/>whereof those for the Agents &amp; Consuls</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="no">for f<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">o</add>rreign Ministers</add>. A pound weight 
        <lb xml:id="l14"/>of <del type="strikethrough">f<gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="5"/></del> fine Gold was cut into 20 Medals &amp; a pound <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">t</hi></abbr><expan>weight</expan></choice> 
        <lb xml:id="l15"/>of fine silver into 22 Medalls. <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="2"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">Bu</add>t the forreign Ministers <lb xml:id="l16"/>(except the Agents &amp; Consuls) had Medals of double the value. <add place="infralinear" indicator="no">At <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Coron.</abbr><expan>Coronation</expan></choice> of <choice><abbr>K</abbr><expan>King</expan></choice> W<hi rend="superscript">m</hi> there were only 200 medals of <seg rend="ns" rendition="ns">☉</seg> made by <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="3"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">Ord</add>er of Council.</add></p>
        
        <p xml:id="par4">After the form of the Medalls &amp; of his <choice><abbr>Maj<hi rend="superscript">ts</hi></abbr><expan>Majestys</expan></choice> Effi<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l17"/>gies is setled, it will take up about a Calendar month 
            <lb xml:id="l18"/>to make the Puncheons &amp; three or four days more to 
            <lb xml:id="l19"/>make the Dyes &amp; coyne the Medalls by the Mill &amp; Press<choice><orig/><reg><supplied reason="omitted">.</supplied></reg></choice> 
            <lb xml:id="l20"/>And if either of the Puncheons should break <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">as it sometimes happens</add> it would <lb xml:id="l21"/>take up<del type="cancelled"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del> a fortnight more to repair the loss. 
            <add place="lineEnd" indicator="no">The Coyna<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">g</add>e</add> 
            <add place="infralinear" indicator="no">Duty being appropriated, there should be money <del type="strikethrough">appropriated</del> advanced <del type="strikethrough"><unclear reason="del" cert="low">Out</unclear></del></add> 
             <add place="marginLeft" indicator="no"><del type="strikethrough">T<gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="7"/></del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">out of the civil List <del type="cancelled">for</del></add> <lb xml:id="l22"/>for buying <lb xml:id="l23"/><seg rend="ns" rendition="ns">☉</seg> &amp; <seg rend="ns" rendition="ns">☽</seg>.</add></p>

<p xml:id="par5">If the Impression <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">i</add>s to rise high<del type="cancelled"><unclear reason="del" cert="low">,</unclear></del> like that of the <del type="strikethrough"><unclear reason="del" cert="medium">late</unclear></del> 
    <lb xml:id="l24"/>Medalls made upon the <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">late</add> peace, the<del type="over">y</del><add place="over" indicator="no"><add place="supralinear" indicator="no"><choice><orig/><reg> </reg></choice>medalls</add></add> must be coyned in a 
    <lb xml:id="l25"/>ring, &amp; to Make the Puncheons &amp; Dyes &amp; coyne 15 hundred <lb xml:id="l26"/><del type="strikethrough">sill require <unclear reason="hand">se</unclear></del> <add place="lineBeginning" indicator="no">medalls</add> <add place="supralinear" indicator="no">of this sort will</add> take up six weeks <del type="cancelled"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="4"/></del> &amp; if either of <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l27"/>puncheons should <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">b</add>reak it would take up two months. And <lb xml:id="l28"/>the <del type="strikethrough">impression</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="no">medalls</add> much be weightier <del type="strikethrough">to make</del> that the<del type="over"><unclear reason="del" cert="low">ir</unclear></del><add place="over" indicator="no">re</add> may be <lb xml:id="l29"/>substance to make the Impression rise high. Sixteen Medalls <lb xml:id="l30"/>of this sort <del type="strikethrough">would</del> will require a pound weight of fine gold, <lb xml:id="l31"/>&amp; twenty a pound weight of fine silver.</p>
