    <p xml:id="par1">Whereas <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">in</add> a Paper entituled, A Letter from a Livery-man of the city of London to a Member of the <choice><abbr>Hon<hi rend="superscript">ble</hi></abbr><expan>Honourable</expan></choice> House of Commons <lb xml:id="l1"/>relating to <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> Coinage of Copper farthings &amp; Half pence, it is set forth, That it may be made out to Demonstration, that the Nation <lb xml:id="l2"/>is grosly imposed upon on account of the said Coinage; &amp; that although other persons <del type="strikethrough">proposed</del> capable, proposed to deliver in the Blanks <lb xml:id="l3"/>equal in goodness to those coined in King Charles the seconds Time, yet the Person under Contract is suffered to deliver in Copper <lb xml:id="l4"/>of less value by two Pence in each Pound weight then the said <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">f</add>arthings &amp; <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="2"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">h</add>alf pence coined in the <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">t</add>ime of the said King Charles. <lb xml:id="l5"/>The Lords Commissioners of his Maj<del type="over"><hi rend="superscript">t</hi></del><add place="over" indicator="no">e</add>st<del type="over">ie</del><add place="over" indicator="no">y</add><add place="inline" indicator="no">'</add>s Treasury <del type="over">t</del><add place="over" indicator="no">d</add>o here<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">b</add>y give Notice that if the Persons <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">who published the said Letter or any other Persons</add> will attend the Treasury, &amp; bring with them <lb xml:id="l6"/>blanks of fine British Copper, equal in goodness to those coined in King<del type="cancelled"><unclear reason="del" cert="low">s</unclear></del> Charles <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> second's time, &amp; will oblige themselves to furnish <lb xml:id="l7"/>quantities of the same Blanks at the same rates that are now paid, <del type="cancelled">&amp;</del> their Lordships will <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">g</add>ive them encouragement suitable <lb xml:id="l8"/>to their Proposals &amp; Performance thereof, there being no standing <del type="over">c</del><add place="over" indicator="no">C</add>ontract yet made with any Persons, &amp; those now employed <lb xml:id="l9"/>being only upon tryall.</p>
