<p xml:id="par3">My accounts for the money impressed to me <lb xml:id="l2"/>since I was concerned for the mint in Scotland <lb xml:id="l3"/><del type="strikethrough"><unclear reason="hand" cert="medium">l</unclear>ay</del> were layed before the Exchecquer here <lb xml:id="l4"/>some time ago and would have passed this <lb xml:id="l5"/>last terme had not my agent at London  <lb xml:id="l6"/>neglected to send me down a controlment  <lb xml:id="l7"/>certificate from the Exchecquer in England of what <lb xml:id="l8"/>I had recieved, thinking that extracts from <lb xml:id="l9"/>his own books would have been sufficient <lb xml:id="l10"/>I have ordered a friend of mine one M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>  <lb xml:id="l11"/>Robertson to wait of you and I hope you <lb xml:id="l12"/>will be so good as to allow him to converse <lb xml:id="l13"/>with you upon our affair's</p>

<p rend="indent0" xml:id="par4">I know no other difficulty our Baron's of <lb xml:id="l14"/>Exchecquer cane have about my accounts <fw type="pag" place="bottomLeft" hand="#unknown">200</fw><pb xml:id="p201r" n="201r"/>unless it is my stating the Treasury and Exchecquer <lb xml:id="l15"/>fees according to the double of a fitted account <lb xml:id="l16"/>of your's, which at my desyer you were pleased <lb xml:id="l17"/>to send me some time ago and you know that <lb xml:id="l18"/>before the Vnion the collector of the Bullion <lb xml:id="l19"/>here payed all the officer's sallary's without <lb xml:id="l20"/>any manner of deduction so if you will be so <lb xml:id="l21"/>good as to signify to me by a letter that these <lb xml:id="l22"/>fee's are allowed to you I believe it may <lb xml:id="l23"/>help to clear our Scots Baron's</p>
