    <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par3">According to <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">ps</hi></abbr><expan>Lordships</expan></choice> verbal Order I humbly lay before <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> 
        <lb xml:id="l2"/><choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">p</hi></abbr><expan>Lordship</expan></choice> the state of the <del type="strikethrough">case</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="no">Question</add> about the allowance <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">to be made <del type="cancelled">to</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">in the accounts of</add> M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Allardes</add> for the <hi rend="large">late</hi> coinage of 
        <lb xml:id="l3"/>silver moneys <del type="strikethrough">in Scotland.</del> at Edinburgh.</p>
    
    <p xml:id="par4"><del type="strikethrough">By her Maj<hi rend="superscript">ties</hi> Warrant of Iun<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">e</add> 20<hi rend="superscript">th</hi> 1707</del></p>
    
    <p xml:id="par5">By the Indenture of the Mint <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">in the Tower</add> the Master &amp; Worker is allowd <lb xml:id="l4"/>sixteen pence half penny upon the pound weight Troy for the coinage <lb xml:id="l5"/>of silver moneys. The words of the Indenture are hereunto annexed</p>
    
    <p xml:id="par6">By her <choice><abbr>Maj<hi rend="superscript">ties</hi></abbr><expan>Majesties</expan></choice> Warrant of 20 Iune 1707 the Officers of her 
        <lb xml:id="l6"/><choice><abbr>Maj<hi rend="superscript">ties</hi></abbr><expan>Majesties</expan></choice> Mint at Edinburgh, <del type="strikethrough">(for putting the Act of union in exe<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l7"/>cution,)</del> were directed to observe the rules of coynage set down in
        <lb xml:id="l8"/>the said Indenture <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">th</hi></abbr><expan>with</expan></choice> respect to their several offices: but I do 
        <lb xml:id="l9"/>not remember that any alteration in the <del type="cancelled">allo</del> salaries or <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">in the</add> allowanc<supplied reason="foxed">e</supplied> 
        <lb xml:id="l10"/>for coinage was then under consideration. The words of the 
        <lb xml:id="l11"/>Warrant are hereunto annexed.</p>
    
    <p xml:id="par7">By an Act of Parliament made in Scotland A.C. 169<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">0</add> the 
        <lb xml:id="l12"/>Master of th<del type="over">e</del><add place="over" indicator="no">a</add><add place="inline" indicator="no">t</add> Mint <del type="strikethrough">in Scotland</del> was allowed twenty pounds Scots upon 
        <lb xml:id="l13"/>the stone weight Scots <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">for coinage</add> of silver moneys: <del type="strikethrough">for coynage thereof.</del> <del type="cancelled">The</del> <add place="supralinear interlinear" indicator="yes">&amp; this all<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="2"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">ow</add>ance was <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">accordingly <del type="strikethrough">made</del></add> made till the <lb xml:id="l14"/>Vnion. The</add> words of <del type="strikethrough">that</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="no">the</add> Act are hereunto annexed. <del type="cancelled">And</del> <del type="over">t</del><add place="over" indicator="no">T</add>hree pounds scots are
