According to yoryour LordpsLordships verbal Order I humbly lay before yoryour LordpLordship the state of the caseQuestion about the allowance to be made to in the accounts of Mr Allardes for the late coinage of silver moneys in Scotland. at Edinburgh.

By her Majties Warrant of Iune 20th 1707

By the Indenture of the Mint in the Tower the Master & Worker is allowd sixteen pence half penny upon the pound weight Troy for the coinage of silver moneys. The words of the Indenture are hereunto annexed

By her MajtiesMajesties Warrant of 20 Iune 1707 the Officers of her MajtiesMajesties Mint at Edinburgh, (for putting the Act of union in execution,) were directed to observe the rules of coynage set down in the said Indenture wthwith respect to their several offices: but I do not remember that any alteration in the allo salaries or in the allowance for coinage was then under consideration. The words of the Warrant are hereunto annexed.

By an Act of Parliament made in Scotland A.C. 1690 the Master of theat Mint in Scotland was allowed twenty pounds Scots upon the stone weight Scots for coinage of silver moneys: for coynage thereof. The & this allowance was accordingly made made till the Vnion. The words of thatthe Act are hereunto annexed. And tThree pounds scots are worth 54s 6$\frac{1}{2}$d english at their just value, but the Scots valued 13 shillings scots at Onetwelve shilling pence english before the union & at thirteen pence english in distributing the equivalent. In the first case the allowance comes to almost 17$\frac{1}{2}$d in the second to something more then 17$\frac{1}{2}$d, in the third to about 19$\frac{1}{11}$d, upon the pound weight Troy.
