    <p rend="center" xml:id="par2"><hi rend="large">A</hi>tt a meeting of the officers of the Mint <lb xml:id="l1"/>at Edinburgh Doctor Gregory present <space dim="vertical" unit="lines" extent="1"/></p>
    
    <p xml:id="par3">The Assay-master Represented that he had so <lb xml:id="l2"/>many Assays to take that he Could not Expeed the work without <lb xml:id="l3"/>the Assistance of a Clerk which being Considered by the officers <lb xml:id="l4"/>They thought it very reasonable that he should have one and therefor <lb xml:id="l5"/>up<choice><orig> </orig><reg/></choice>on the 12<hi rend="superscript">th</hi> of November <choice><abbr>yr</abbr><expan>year</expan></choice> after dispatch of the work <lb xml:id="l6"/>Retarded by the many Assays It was recommended the Assaymaster <lb xml:id="l7"/>to gett one Assistant and that he goe about it with all Expedition <lb xml:id="l8"/>and the officers of the mint are to take Care that what allowance <lb xml:id="l9"/>he gives to his Assistant be payd him Extracted out of the <lb xml:id="l10"/>Ceredunt booke in the mint at <unclear reason="hand" cert="high"><choice><abbr>Edb<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>Edinburgh</expan></choice></unclear> By <choice><orig><hi rend="underline">Robtt: Millar.
