    <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par1">The Tools you wrote for are preparing with all dispatch <lb xml:id="l1"/>but will scarce be ready before the end of next week. <lb xml:id="l2"/>Since you wrote about the manner of calling in &amp; melting down <lb xml:id="l3"/>the old hammered money in England &amp; delivering it into the <lb xml:id="l4"/>Mint to be coyned &amp; M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Haynes as I understand has written to <lb xml:id="l5"/>you largely about it: because that method was troublesome <lb xml:id="l6"/>expensive &amp; liable to abuses &amp; great abuses were actually <lb xml:id="l7"/>committed in it, I will take the liberty to set the method <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l8"/>seems to me the best &amp; leave it to your judgement. You may <lb xml:id="l9"/>compare it <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">th</hi></abbr><expan>with</expan></choice> other proposals &amp; chuse the best.     <p xml:id="par3"><add place="lineBeginning" indicator="no">2</add> That the money thus weighed be put into baggs, &amp; where <lb xml:id="l12"/>the parcels are small two or more parcels may be put into <lb xml:id="l13"/>one bagg &amp; the weight of the money in every bagg be enterd <lb xml:id="l14"/>on a label of paper tied to the bagg &amp; the<unclear reason="copy"><hi rend="superscript"><del type="cancelled">the</del></hi></unclear> baggs tyed up &amp; locked up in a Treasury <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">under two or more keys</add> till they shall be delivered to the <lb xml:id="l15"/>melter. The number of the baggs may be also written on <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> labels</p>
    
    <p xml:id="par4"><add place="lineBeginning" indicator="no">3</add> <del type="strikethrough">That</del> <del type="over"><unclear reason="over" cert="low">a</unclear></del><add place="over" indicator="no">A</add> Melting house to be provided with two fire holes <lb xml:id="l16"/>for two iron melting potts, &amp; a Smiths pair of Bellows to <lb xml:id="l17"/>blow the fires in the two holes by meanes of a leaden pipe <lb xml:id="l18"/>coming from the snout of the Bellows to <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> two holes.     <p xml:id="par6"><del type="blockStrikethrough"><add place="lineBeginning" indicator="no">5</add> That when the Ingots are coyned an Officer appointed <lb xml:id="l38"/>by the <choice><abbr>L<hi rend="superscript">ds</hi></abbr><expan>Lords</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Com<hi rend="superscript">rs</hi></abbr><expan>Commissioners</expan></choice> of the Treasury attend the Mint with Tellers <lb xml:id="l39"/><add place="lineBeginning supralinear" indicator="no">&amp; receive from the Melter the Masters Receipts or Tickets &amp; give the Melter</add> &amp; that the Melter receive the moneys by standard weight from <lb xml:id="l40"/>the Master &amp; deliver it by the same standard weight to the <lb xml:id="l41"/>Officer attending &amp; take his receipt for the same &amp; the tellers <lb xml:id="l42"/>tell it into hundred pound baggs &amp; examin the baggs by weight <lb xml:id="l43"/>to see that every bagg be of a just weight. And that <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> weight &amp; <lb xml:id="l44"/>tale of the whole money recived by entered in two books one <lb xml:id="l45"/>to be kept by the Officers of the Mint the other to be kept by <lb xml:id="l46"/>the officers of the Exchequer. And the money thus weighed &amp; <lb xml:id="l47"/>told to be carried into the Exchequer.</del></p>
