                <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par3">According to <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">ps</hi></abbr><expan>Lordships</expan></choice> verbal Order to lay before <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">p</hi></abbr><expan>Lordship</expan></choice> <del type="strikethrough">from <lb xml:id="l2"/>time to time</del><add place="supralinear interlinear" indicator="no">from <lb xml:id="l3"/>time to time</add> Memorials of what may be requisite for setting 
                    <lb xml:id="l4"/>on foo<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">t</add> the coynage in Scotland <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">th</hi></abbr><expan>with</expan></choice> expedition, I humbly repre<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l5"/>sent that upon being informed that there is but one Clerk in the 
                    <lb xml:id="l6"/>Mint at Edinburgh for rating &amp; standarding, that for want of 
                    <lb xml:id="l7"/><del type="over">t</del><add place="over" indicator="no">m</add>ore Clerks errors are sometimes committed &amp; the silver not 
                    <lb xml:id="l8"/>rightly standarded, that their assaying &amp; rating &amp; standarding 
                    <lb xml:id="l9"/>&amp; way of book-keeping differ from ours &amp; must <del type="cancelled"><unclear reason="del" cert="low">ab</unclear></del>be set right, 
                    <lb xml:id="l10"/>&amp; that none of their chief Officers have yet acquainted them<lb xml:id="l11"/>selves with our practise: I have <del type="strikethrough">desired</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="no"><del type="strikethrough">proposed that</del><add place="infralinear" indicator="no">spoke with</add></add> D<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Gregory <del type="cancelled">of</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">Professor of Astronomy at</add> Oxford 
                    <lb xml:id="l12"/><add place="supralinear lineBeginning" indicator="yes">(as I acquainted <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">p</hi></abbr><expan>Lordship</expan></choice>)</add> &amp; <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">with</add> one of the Clerks <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="2"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">of</add> the Mint in the Tower <del type="strikethrough">to go from hence</del><add place="supralinear interlinear" indicator="no"><del type="strikethrough">should</del><add place="infralinear" indicator="no"><del type="strikethrough">to</del></add> about going <lb xml:id="l13"/>to that Mint</add> <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="2"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">to</add> in<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="2"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">st</add>ruct their Officers &amp; Clerk &amp; assist the<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="2"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">m</add> in their

                    to such persons as <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">p</hi></abbr><expan>Lordship</expan></choice> shall think fit<add place="inline" indicator="no">.</add> <del type="strikethrough">to consider of a <lb xml:id="l19"/>suitable recompense for that service &amp; out of what fund it shall <lb xml:id="l20"/>be paid &amp; to report their opinion to your Lord<hi rend="superscript">p</hi>.</del></p>
                
                <p xml:id="par4">And whereas Dyes &amp; perhaps Puncheons are to be sent from 
                    <lb xml:id="l21"/>hence till such time as the work of the Graver of that Mint 
                    <lb xml:id="l22"/>shall be approved, I <del type="strikethrough">humbly</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="no">further</add> propose that the prizes of those 
                    <lb xml:id="l23"/>things may be also re<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">f</add>erred &amp; setled. <space dim="vertical" unit="lines" extent="1"/></p>
