3 2 The Charges of repairing the iron work of the Mills Presses & flatters &c are within the Moneyers allowance of 2d pr lwt poundage,, those of repairing the wooden work thereof are withhave been hitherto allowed in the Masters AcctAccount out of yethe surplus above the 3500li.

4 3 The Furnaces for Assaying melting & nealing have been also allowed in the M recconed among the instruments & the charges of repairsing or repbuilding them placed upon the same footalso inyethe Masters Account.

CharCoale, Aqua fortis, water silver, Cuppels,2 Lead, & the Assay furnaces & Loss by the Assays have always recconed into the charges of the Assaying & placed in the Masters Account as parts of yethe charge & wast of Assaying to wchwhich the surplus above the three thousand pounds have been appropriated. And this charge is amongst the Charges to wchwhich the surplus above the 3000li (now 3500) is appropriated by Act of Parliament.

21 4 The charges of reducing the bullion to standard that is the charges of by refining Refining & Allay are by the Indenture of the Mint to be allowed to the Master & WrWorker out of yethe coynage moneys, & are accordingly placed in the Masters Acctcount. This clause of yethe Indenture would have been needless had the charge of reducing the money to standard been deemed within yethe 3000li.

All these charges arising not from the being of a Mint alone but from the being of a coynage, & dbeing in no danger of absolutely necessary for carrying it on & not liable to extravagance, have hitherto for the encouragement of coynage been left unlimited & placed in the Masters Account that he may meet wthwith no di impediment or discouragement from others persons in going on readily with the coynage. If any of them are to come within the 3500li they should be paid by the Warden & placed in the Wardens his AcctAccount: & then it will be within the power of the Warden to & those that can influence him to entangle & retard yethe coynage Master & those under him in carrying on the coynage.

The fees p at the ExcheqrExchequer & TrearyTreasury for moneys receibed, & those for passing the Accounts of the Warden & MrMaster through the several Offices of the ExcheqrExchequer being paid by the Master are placed in his Account They are kept to a certain rate & relate both to yethe 30500li & to yethe excess & are kept to a certain rate wthwithout a & have been hitherto looked upon as incidents of the Mints & coynage in general [without hurting restraining them to yethe 35000 or 2500li within a certain summ.] The

The Bills of yethe Scalemaker & Stationer & Purveyor in the Wardens AcctAccount arise from the coynage, & about haveso have not been yet been recconed with the 3000 or 3500li.
