    <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par2">It has been usual for the <choice><abbr>M<hi rend="superscript">rs</hi></abbr><expan>Masters</expan></choice> &amp; <choice><abbr>W<hi rend="superscript">rs</hi></abbr><expan>Workers</expan></choice> of his <choice><abbr>Maj<hi rend="superscript">ts</hi></abbr><expan>Majestys</expan></choice> Mint to give <lb xml:id="l1"/>2000<hi rend="superscript">℔</hi> security to <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> King before <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> sealing of the Indenture of <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l2"/>Mint &amp; to mention the same in <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> Indenture. Thus did <choice><abbr>S<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>Sir</expan></choice> Rob<hi rend="superscript">t</hi> <lb xml:id="l3"/>Harley in <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> 2<hi rend="superscript">d</hi> year of K. Cha: II &amp; M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Slingsby in <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> 22<hi rend="superscript">th</hi> year <lb xml:id="l4"/>of <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> same King. M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Neale being in debt &amp;c made his way into <lb xml:id="l5"/>the place by granting <del type="strikethrough">away</del> half <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> profits <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">there</add>of <del type="strikethrough"><choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> place</del> to other <lb xml:id="l6"/>Officers of <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> Mint &amp; giving 15000<hi rend="superscript">℔</hi> security to <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> King &amp; had <lb xml:id="l7"/>time given him to find this security after <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> sealing of his Inden<lb xml:id="l8"/>ture. But his Melter M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Ambrose (<choice><sic>though</sic><corr>through</corr></choice> whose hands all <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l9"/>coynage <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">was to</add> pass<del type="cancelled">es</del>) gave but 2000<hi rend="superscript">℔</hi> security to M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Neale. The Coynage <lb xml:id="l10"/>being now much less then in <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> time of any of the Masters &amp; Work<lb type="hyphenated" xml:id="l11"/>ers above mentioned, if <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Lord<hi rend="superscript">ps</hi></abbr><expan>Lordships</expan></choice> please to accept of <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l12"/>usual security of <del type="over">1</del><add place="over" indicator="no">2</add>000<hi rend="superscript">℔</hi> &amp; approve of <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>R<hi rend="superscript">t</hi></abbr><expan>Right</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Hon<hi rend="superscript">ble</hi></abbr><expan>Honourable</expan></choice> <space dim="vertical" unit="lines" extent="2"/>for bondsmen, I am ready to give it <del type="strikethrough">speedily</del> that it may be entred <lb xml:id="l13"/>in <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> Indenture now to be <del type="strikethrough">engrossed</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="no">sealed</add>.
