    <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par2">Trusty &amp; Welbeloved Wee greet <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">u</hi>.</abbr><expan>you</expan></choice> Well. Whearas Wee have been gratiously <lb xml:id="l1"/>pleased for the Encouraging of the coyning of Gold &amp; Silver &amp; the encreasing of <lb xml:id="l2"/>the Stock of monies in this Our Kingdom to the great benefit &amp; advantage <lb xml:id="l3"/>of Trade &amp; the good of all Our Loving Subjects To quitt Our right of Seigniorag<supplied reason="foxed">e</supplied> <lb xml:id="l4"/>or coynage Dutie upon Our gold &amp; Silver monies which was part of our <lb xml:id="l5"/>An<choice><orig>t</orig><reg>c</reg></choice>ient Revenew and did some times bring Vs in great proffitt. <lb xml:id="l6"/>And this last session of Parliament to consent to an Act for the <lb xml:id="l7"/>raising of a yearely Revenew in liew there of to defray the Charges <lb xml:id="l8"/>&amp; expences of <del type="strikethrough">the</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">our</add> Mint &amp; of Coynage. By which said Act the an<choice><orig>t</orig><reg>c</reg></choice>ient <lb xml:id="l9"/>course and proceedings of the Mint were much altered to the great <lb xml:id="l10"/>increase of the Dutie and attendance of most of the officers thereof. <lb xml:id="l11"/>And Whearas Wee were further Gratiously pleased Vpon the <lb xml:id="l12"/>humble Petition of the Wardens Masters and Workers and <lb xml:id="l13"/>Comptroller. and the rest of the officers of Our Mint in Our Court <lb xml:id="l14"/>of London for an addition and increase <del type="cancelled">of</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="no">to</add> their Fees and <lb xml:id="l15"/>sallaries out of the Three Thousands pounds yearely sett apart <lb xml:id="l16"/>by the said Act for the Fees &amp; sallaries of the Officers of <del type="cancelled">the</del> <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">our</add>  Mint and <lb xml:id="l17"/>towards the maintaining &amp; repairing of the Houses offices and buildings <lb xml:id="l18"/>of the same by an order of Refferrence bearing date the 27<hi rend="superscript">th</hi>. day of <lb xml:id="l19"/>May last to appoint and authorize our Right Trusty &amp; Welbeloved <lb xml:id="l20"/>Councellor the Lord Ashley Chancellor and Vnder Treasurer of our <lb xml:id="l21"/><choice><abbr>Exche<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>.</abbr><expan>Exchequer</expan></choice> to consider the Petition of Our said Officers and to settle and <lb xml:id="l22"/>apportion their respective <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">Fees &amp;</add> Sallaries out of the said Three Thousand <lb xml:id="l23"/>pounds so as aforesaid limitted &amp; appointed by the said Act as in <lb xml:id="l24"/>his Iudgement hee should think fitting In pursuance of which <lb xml:id="l25"/>Order of Refference the said Lord Ashley having advised with <lb xml:id="l26"/>such persons as could best informe him of the nature of each officers <lb xml:id="l27"/>employment and upon Consideration of their respective interests &amp; <lb xml:id="l28"/>businesse Did the XI<hi rend="superscript">th</hi> of this instant Iuly present unto Vs a Distributio<supplied reason="foxed">n</supplied> <lb xml:id="l29"/>&amp; apportionment of the severall officers Fees &amp; sallaries according <lb xml:id="l30"/>as in his Iudgement hee thought equall and wherein the officers <lb xml:id="l31"/>themselves concerned did aquiesse. Which Distribution and <lb xml:id="l32"/>apportionment Wee have caused to be hereunto annexed. Vpon <lb xml:id="l33"/>Consideration of all Which Wee are gratiously pleased hereby to ratifie <lb xml:id="l34"/>&amp; Confirme the same. unto the severall and respective officers of Our <lb xml:id="l35"/>Mint according to the said Distribution &amp; apportionment. And <lb xml:id="l36"/>in regard the payment of the same is for the future to bee made out <lb xml:id="l37"/>of the Revenew leviable by Virtue of the said Act &amp; payable from <lb xml:id="l38"/>time to time out of Our <choice><abbr>Excheq<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>.</abbr><expan>Exchequer</expan></choice> unto the Master &amp; Worker or Masters &amp; <lb xml:id="l39"/>Workers of Our Mint for the time being for the Defraying of the <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">charges &amp;</add> expences <lb xml:id="l40"/><del type="cancelled">&amp; Charges</del> of Our Mint &amp; Coyange. Our Will &amp; pleasure there fore is <lb xml:id="l41"/>and Wee hereby Command &amp; authorize <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">u</hi>.</abbr><expan>you</expan></choice> whom it may <lb xml:id="l42"/>Concerne out of the said Three Thousand pounds soe limitted &amp; appointed <lb xml:id="l43"/>as aforesaid from time to time as the same shall come into your <lb xml:id="l44"/>hands to pay or cause to be paid the yearly summ of Two Toushand <lb xml:id="l45"/>six hundred Pounds in manner following Vizt the su<choice><orig>m̄</orig><reg>mm</reg></choice>e of one <lb xml:id="l46"/>thousand foure hundred thirtie five pounds Vnto <choice><abbr>S<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>Sir</expan></choice> Anthony <lb xml:id="l47"/>S<hi rend="superscript">t</hi> Leger <choice><abbr>Kn<hi rend="superscript">t</hi></abbr><expan>Knight</expan></choice> present Warden of Our said Mint &amp; unto the Warden

And the sume of one thousand <lb xml:id="l50"/><add place="lineBeginning" indicator="no">one hundred</add> sixtie five pounds Vnuto <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice>selfe &amp; selves respectively for <choice><abbr>yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> owne <lb xml:id="l51"/>respective sallarie and <del type="strikethrough"><unclear reason="del" cert="low">th</unclear>e</del> sallaries Fees &amp; Fees &amp; for the sallaries &amp; Fees <lb xml:id="l52"/>of such other officers to whome by the said Distribution &amp; apportionment <lb xml:id="l53"/>they are limitted &amp; appointed to be paid by the Master &amp; Worker All <lb xml:id="l54"/>which said payments to bee made by the said Warden and by your <lb xml:id="l55"/>self &amp; selves respectively are to be made quarterly according to <lb xml:id="l56"/>the an<choice><orig>t</orig><reg>c</reg></choice>ient Course of the Mint by even &amp; equall portions The first <lb xml:id="l57"/>payment there of to be accompted due upon the five &amp; twentieth day of <lb xml:id="l58"/>March last. And Our will and pleasure likewise is that forty pounds <lb xml:id="l59"/>now payable by the Warden to the Vnder Gravour &amp; Tenn pounds <lb xml:id="l60"/>payable to the Smith of the Mint bee upon the Death for the said Vnder <lb xml:id="l61"/>Graver &amp; Smith or either of them added to the Fee and sallarie of <lb xml:id="l62"/>the Warden or Wardens of our Mint for the time being And that <lb xml:id="l63"/>thirtie pounds now payable by the said Warden unto the <choice><sic>Cheife</sic><corr>Chiefe</corr></choice> <lb xml:id="l64"/>Gravour be vpon the Death  of the said <choice><sic>Cheife</sic><corr>Chiefe</corr></choice> Gravour Added to the <lb xml:id="l65"/>Fees &amp; sallaries of the respective officers following That is to Com<lb xml:id="l66"/>pounds thereof unto the Master &amp; Workers Assay Tenn pounds vnto <lb xml:id="l67"/>the Surveyor of the Meltings &amp; Clarke of the Irons. &amp; the other Tenn <lb xml:id="l68"/>pounds to the Weigher &amp; Teller.
